For the first time since they joined the NHL, the Blue Jackets will open the season with a three-game trip. The 82-game schedule, released today, opens Friday, Oct. 10 at Dallas and continues Oct. 11 at Phoenix and Oct. 14 at San Jose. It’s the third time in eight seasons the Jackets have opened a season on the road, but the previous two involved just one game.
The Blue Jackets, who have never opened a home season later than Oct. 11, will first play in Nationwide Arena on Oct. 17.

Seriously? There’s no home game against the Sabres?! That was the best game of the 06-07 season, and they haven’t been back since.
I’m ready for the season! Just waiting for my season tickets to arrive!!!!!
Once again, a glance at the schedule leaves me sad there’s no match against the Flyers. :(
Look closer.
The Jackets play the Flyers at Nationwide Arena on Saturday, Dec. 27th.

Oooo, good catch! I may make that a prezzie to myself. My loyalty to the Flyers was already dwindling way back when Lindros left the team, so I am hoping they receive a proper drubbing.
