Open 11 AM to 11 PM Sunday to Thursday

Open 11 AM to 1 AM on Friday and Saturday

Seats 265, including the bar area.

CMH Gourmand was at the the opening of BJ’s thanks to Columbus Underground. This place might be described as an upscale sports bar - with house brewed beers, deep dish pizzas. and good pub grub.

My favorite beer was the Harvest Hefeweizen and the best starter was the Avacado Spring Rolls. The pizza was good as well. Their beers have won numerous national awards. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is worth checking out for a beer and/or something more.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse of California opened its first Ohio location last week at Polaris.

The enormous space has a raucous atmosphere, loud music and a bank of six TV monitors over the elevated bar, with others scattered throughout. Part of the vast room can be divided with cleverly designed garage doors that pull down behind a row of curved booths.

The deep-dish pizzas are the heart of the large menu. The thick crusts are yeasty, flavorful and crusty. The interior avoids the sometimes-doughy texture that afflicts too many pizzas of this style.

They are a large chain…I like the food, but the beer isn’t so good IMO ( and I LOVE good beer).
