Athens-Based Big Mamma’s Burritos to Open on Park Street

Starting this Thursday,  a new late-night burrito fix will be available to Downtown residents.

Big Mamma’s Burrito’s will take over Park Street Patio and Saloon’s kitchen and service area. The Athens-based business is currently wrapping up final details for a serving counter set-up in Park Street’s entrance area.

The kitchen is located centrally between Park Street Patio and Park Street Saloon, making service accessible from each. Big Mamma’s will serve a selection of burritos, along with chips and dip. The menu will be pared down in comparison to their Athen’s selection, but not by much.

Big Mamma’s was previously preparing for a brick-and-mortar opening in Old North, where plans were ultimately felled by construction delays and zoning approval roadblocks. The business may be partnering with a Columbus craft beer bar in the near future, said owner Quinn Schaller.

Big Mamma’s hours will coordinate with Park Street Patio and Saloon’s; when either is open, Big Mamma’s will be, too.
