    Best Local Theatrical Group of 2014: Shadowbox Live

    It might be something of a “best kept secret” but Columbus is a great city for taking in theatrical productions of all shapes and sizes. From the biggest Broadway musicals, to independent locally-crafted productions, there’s plenty to seek out all season long when you know where to look. And in 2014, our readers said once again that Shadowbox Live is their favorite place to look for theatrical entertainment.

    It’s also worth mentioning that 2014 was a big year for Shadowbox Live. The group celebrated its 25th Anniversary with the return of its rock opera EVO. Shadowbox also collaborated twice this year with the Columbus Museum of Art for the return of Gallery of Echoes, first in May and again in November. And not only did the group bring back Woodstock-tribute Back to the Garden at Columbus Commons, they also debuted a brand new musical tribute to the Beatles called Bigger Than Jesus.
