For three years straight, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank has topped our list of local nonprofits. That’s not to say that other charities are less deserving of your donations and volunteerism, but the Foodbank has proven to have staying power at the top of mind when our readers are asked about their philanthropic preferences in Columbus.

Since it’s launch 33 years ago, the Mid-Ohio Foodbank has been feeding the hungry in collaboration with over 550 food pantries all across central and eastern Ohio. The mission of the nonprofit is both obvious and simple: “To end hunger one nourishing meal at a time and co-create a sustainable community where everyone thrives”.
