Best New Shop of 2008: Skreened Columbus

On September 2nd, Skreened officially opened their first brick-n-mortar retail location in Clintonville and kicked things off with a great big party to celebrate. Skreened.com was launched two years prior as an online-only business that allows users to upload custom T-Shirt designs to either sell or purchase. The new store space features a wider variety of shirts, some specialty products, and in-store workstations for making and printing T-Shirts on the fly.

You can browse though all designs or upload your own at skreened.com, or click here to visit the Columbus-centric page that features some of your favorite logos and local celebrities.

Second Place: Tigertree

Third Place: Seagull Bags

That’s awesome! I admittedly didn’t vote on this category because I couldn’t make up my mind; so many way cool, creative, innovative small businesses sprouting up in Columbus.

I want to thank Daniel (and all the Skreened folks) for creating such a great service!

Also I want to let you all know that you can win a $20 gift card to Skreened by checking out my blog http://elephantsonbicycles.com/?p=755 and giving me feedback, per the instructions. Sorry for the shameless plug…

I have so many happy Skreened shirts thanks to the new shop. The first Dirty Frank’s Hot Dogs t-shirt was made a Skreened and it always brings a tear to my eye. I miss Daniel at Studio 35, he must be working hard.

Thanks for including the address dsigner. I thought about including more details, but as you said… it’s all on their website. I’m sure Daniel wouldn’t object to people visiting the website to find those details there! And clicking around and buying stuff while they’re over there. ;)

The full list for this one is kind of funny because most of the answers were stores that opened prior to 2008. I guess people just love their favorites no matter when they opened! ;)

It was a trackback from a link on the Skreened Blog. I’ve since disabled them from automatically appearing… because, yeah… they look silly.

But I feel like we should keep this one. As a pet.
