While 2016 might not have been a great year for many people for many reasons, it was a stellar year for the local drinking and nightlife scene in Columbus. Over a dozen new bars opened their doors this year to much fanfare, giving our readers and contributors a lot of options to choose from when naming a top destination for the year. In the end, only one can be named number one, and that venue is the PINS Mechanical Company, which opened Downtown in September.
Much more than just a bar, PINS offers a wide variety of entertainment options for visitors, primarily in the form of duckpin bowling and numerous pinball machines. If that’s not enough for you, there are several foosball tables, large-scale jenga games, shuffleboard, two patios, food trucks, ping pong and more. Oh, and of course there’s plenty of beer and specialty cocktails to be consumed as well.
Stay tuned for the second installment of PINS at Bridge Park in Dublin, which could end up being the best new bar of 2017 if it wows crowds as much as the first one.
