Best Local DJ of 2008: DJ Jondy

The nightlife scene in Columbus has gone through many changes over the years. Nightclubs come and go, but DJ Jondy is here to stay. With over a decade of entertaining Columbus crowds under his belt, his nomination as Best Local DJ of 2008 comes as no surprise.

Jondy was a regular staple at the Spice Bar throughout the summer of 2008 as he warmed up the crowds for touring DJs including Tommie Sunshine, Johnny Fiasco, and DJ Sneak to name a few.

Jondy sets himself apart from many other local DJs by running his own record label (Vital Music Records) and producing his own music as well. Stay tuned for details on upcoming events that Jondy will be spinning at throughout 2009.

    obviously not a fan vote here

    never even heard of the guy… and i thought i had heard of every dj in columbus

    ps… he didn’t “open” for tommy sunshine, he might have played on the patio… but he definitely wasn’t the one on the decks tommy used.

    What do you mean by “not a fan vote”? This was an open reader survey for anyone to vote on.

    The opening for Tommie might have been a mistake on my part in re-reading through past threads when trying to compile info for this post. Could have sworn I saw a flyer with his name on it. I’ll have to go back and doublecheck.
