Best Local Arts Organization of 2014: Greater Columbus Arts Council

When it comes to local arts organizations, there’s all kinds of groups doing all kinds of interesting work. But the biggest organization of them all is the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), which provides funds to other arts groups, acts as a promotional agency for many groups who can’t afford a large marketing budget, and provides support in many other ways. GCAC also hosts the annual Columbus Arts Festival every June, which is one of the longest-running (53 years!) and largest of the Downtown summer festival events.
