Of the thousands of amazing artists in Columbus, our readers survey has consistently produced two winners above all others. Joey Monsoon was picked three years in a row from 2008 to 2010 and now Laura Alexander has joined him for a hat trick from 2011 through 2013.
Alexander has been impressing audiences locally and nationally (she took home 7th place (out of over 1500 entries) in the 2011 ArtPrize in Grand Rapids in 2011) and has her sights set on an international audience in 2013. She was one of two locals to win GCAC’s 2014 Artist Exchange Program and will participate in the Dresden Germany Residency Program next year.
