2011 was a big year for home decor in Columbus, with several new stores opening, and a few others expanding and relocating. We decided to add these stores as a category to our annual reader survey, and the response was quite favorable.

Grandview Mercantile was voted to the top of the list, which comes as no surprise. This Short North staple boasts quality antique items from 80 local dealers and resellers. The store is quite expansive, and the large dealer mix means that there’s something new to find there on every visit.

  • Swanky Abode!! But they are closing up temporarily… :(

  • Home decoration sure is the in thing this year. It is always nice to check these places for ideas. I also have memories of visiting Grandview Mercantile when it was in the building that burned in the Grandview Strip long ago. Objects for the Home is in its successor.
