Happy Hour means a lot of different things to different people. For some it’s a way to unwind after work. For others it’s cheap drink without breaking the bank. No matter what your reason may be, it’s hard to beat the happy hour specials at Bodega, who soared to the top of our reader’s poll as the best happy hour deal in 2009. Their 50 beers on tap is one of the largest selections in town, and when they run them all at half price from 4 to 8 pm every weekday, it’s no wonder they stay as busy as they always are.
The Top 10 Best Happy Hours of 2009:

This is the best bar in town. It’s for cool people only.
They have an FTON sticker in their window. Cool.
bodega is superior to all establishments. cool. The patio is really interactive with the street. I think I’ve been to every Monday happy Hour in 2009 except June 15th and December 28th.
Welcome to 2010, cyclist II. ;)
My favorite watering hole.
Now if Peachtoberfest wins best event I can die happy.
Can’t beat the beer selection, that’s for sure. The only problem sometimes is getting the bartenders’ attention. We actually started a Bodega drinking game. Every time you see someone wearing plaid, sporting a beard or thick black glasses, take a drink. Drink double if you see multiple trends on the same person. Bonus points if they are drinking a PBR.
I can’t believe Cafe Apropos didn’t make the list. I mean really, happy hour until 8 seven days a week!
Does anyone actually know what Hyde Park’s happy hour consists of? I tried to search for it, but the best I could come up with was from 2007.

Ha! Sounds a lot like Hipster Bingo. Which is actually a couple years out of date. Could probably stand a 2010 “refresh” with newer hipster trends. ;)

@Walker Yes! That just made my day. I must go to happy hour and play immediately!
Feel free to point and laugh at me, but while I am certainly open to drinking at all the establishments on this list…My heart belongs to the Char Bar.
Everyone take care.
^ there shall be no pointing nor laughing at the Char Bar. that is unless you’ve had a couple of their LI Iced Teas, then things just get goofy.
I love Char Bar too, but I don’t know if I’ve ever been during happy hour. It’s always been a last-call kind of place for me. ;)
We go to Char Bar a lot too. The bathroom in that place reminds of Silence of the Lambs, though we’ve come to agreement that Ruby Tuesday’s bathroom is far scarier. High Beck’s is pretty bad too.
I’m surprised Bodega hasn’t started selling Stroh’s given how many hipsters hang out there.
