For the third year in a row, the majority of our “Best of 2010″ survey takers have pulled the lever for Columbus Mayor Coleman, and we imagine that the Mayor would love for that popularity amongst voters to carry over to the ballot box next year when he’s running for reelection.
In February of 2010, Coleman delivered his annual State of the City address, which included a new Near East Side neighborhood investment partnership with OSU and the announcement of a curbside recycling program, which is planned for implementation in 2012. In November, Coleman proposed the new $706M city budget for 2011. Additionally, the Mayor jumped on the social media train this year, launching both Twitter and Facebook accounts.

You crazy kids! Thanks for putting me in such an awesome group. We’re doing our best in Fton. It’s nice to get recognition. oxox
you deserve it big guy!
Great list, 4 “neighborhood leaders” included, all of whom are really pushing the limits on creativity and urban revitalization. Vision + Action is where hope hits the road and gets things done. Best wishes for a great 2011 to all these folks.
Honored to be listed among these great folks, thank you. Beer slinging has serious civic implications. ; )
