Not only is The Boat House at Confluence Park the event venue hosting Best Bites: Barbecue on Thursday, June 23rd, they’re also a participant. Executive Chef Brendon Nehls-Frumkin has whipped up something he calls the “Bigger in Texas” Mighty Bite, which features pulled pork served atop smoked cheddar Texas toast, with roasted Ohio corn salsa, queso fresco, and a cilantro lime drizzle. And there’s only one way to try it out… by attending the event!

Best Bites: Barbecue will take place on Thursday, June 23rd and will feature samples from restaurants, food trucks and catering companies that offer the best Barbecue in Columbus, along with local beer from , and music and entertainment as well. The event will take place at The Boat House at Confluence Park, offering some of the best views of the Columbus skyline.
Other participating restaurants include City Barbeque, Land Yacht BBQ, Barrel & Boar, Oldskool, CBC Restaurant, Paddy Wagon, Milestone 229, Smokehouse Brewing Co, Ray Ray’s Hog Pit, House of BBQ & Blues, Aloha Streatery, KDB Easton, Old Bill Bailey’s, Sweet Carrot and Hoggy’s.
Guests can purchase tickets to attend the event from 5:30pm-7:30pm or from 8pm-10pm. Advance tickets to the event are $35, tickets are expected to sell out in advance, and a portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to CelebrateOne, an organization that helps fight infant mortality in Central Ohio. The Columbus Underground Best Bites event series have collectively raised over $16,000 for local charities since August 2014, with a goal of raising $20,000 for local charities in 2016.
