New food truck Aloha Streatery officially launched last fall, which means this summer is their first full season in business. If you haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, then you’ll have the perfect opportunity during our upcoming Best Bites: Barbecue festival where owner Sara Siv and her team will be serving up Kalua-loaded Smashed Potatoes — a dish that includes garlic salted fried smash potatoes topped with traditional kalua pork (cooked for 10 hours in banana leaves and Hawaiian red salt) that will be drizzled with either a house-made mango habanero BBQ sauce or Black IPA BBQ sauce and topped with fried onions.
