Best Bar of 2012: The St. James Tavern

The St. James Tavern has pulled off a hat trick, landing the title of Best Bar in Columbus for three years running in our annual readers’ survey. While the SJT could potentially written off as a neighborhood bar specific to the Italian Village neighborhood, it’s become known as a bit of a go-to place for those looking to hang out with friends in the Short North vicinity without the bustle and crowding of meeting somewhere on High Street proper. Additionally, St. James lures in customers with the use of weekly food truck specials that get parked outside and offer dine-in shelter inside the bar.

In other news, many newer bars worth mentioning made a strong debut on this year’s list, including Olde Town Tavern, Curio, Grass Skirt and Double Happiness.
