2010 was an exciting year for the local arts community. The Symphony landed a new Director, work on Wonderland began, and GCAC appointed a new president. Of all of the arts organizations in town, one stood out clearly as a community favorite this year: Wild Goose Creative.

While the idea for Wild Goose was started over a decade ago, it more fully grew into the public eye in September 2008 when they launched their space at 2491 Summit Street where they’ve hosted hundreds of art exhibitions, performances, workshops, classes and other types of creative events. Some of this year’s favorites include Asparagus! The Event, the Speak Easy series, the Columbus Comedy Festival, BeerCamp, and our very own Pizza Grand Prix events.

  • Speaking of Wild Goose…

Wild Goose Helps Artists Reach Their Full Potential
Entrepreneurial Support — By Melanie McIntyre on December 27, 2010

Wild Goose Creative was founded by six friends in September 2006 to support, encourage, and promote all forms of art and artists in Columbus. In doing so, the nonprofit organization has also helped local creatives develop their work and become better businesspeople.

Located at 2491 Summit St. in Clintonville, WGC has hosted numerous events that showcase artists in a particular discipline, like the Columbus Comedy Festival, the Etsy Team Columbus Trunk Show, BaconCamp, and Asparafest.
