Because I’m a major nut when it comes to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream (see my Ben & Jerry’s review in the CU archives), I wanted to let everyone know that a Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop is slated to open in the Fiesta Shopping Center on Lane Avenue in Upper Arlington!!!! Yay! I don’t know when the grand opening is, but I hope it includes free scoops for all. :D
Also, further west on Lane, a Wolfgang Puck Express is going to open in the Lane Avenue shopping mall. Again, I don’t know when, but it will be nice to have a new place to try.
Sure it’s decent, but those other three blow them out ofthe water.
Looks like Lemon Lymon called it in September ’04. He should be an ice cream shop consultant.
I love Jeni’s and think Graeters is very good as well (haven’t been to Denise’s) — but that still doesn’t change the fact that Ben & Jerry’s Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz is a very tasty flavor.
Another one of those cases where I don’t subtract points JUST because they’re a big chain – good flavor is still good flavor. *shrug*
Yeah, I think the ice cream market has been oversaturated in Columbus for awhile now. There’s just too many options to keep them all afloat forever.
Is Haggen Daaz still around in city center? I would much rather have them than B&J.
I got some ice cream at UDF not long ago…it was “reverse” cookies and cream: chocolate ice cream with vanilla cream sanwich cookies.
It was amazing.
I love the butterscotch chip at Emack & Bolios, but the guy that runs it is ALWAYS in a bad mood. How can you be eternally bitter when you run an ice cream shop?
