Allegiant Air announced today that it’s introducing a new nonstop service from Rickenbacker International Airport to Austin, Texas. Beginning February 16, 2018, flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, marking the first flight offered between two capital cities.
Allegiant began its operations in Columbus in 2012, first offering two weekly flights to two destinations. Since then it’s expanded to 10 destinations with year-round and seasonal durations.
The Austin service will go year-round, along with flights to Punta Gorda Airport, Orlando/Sanford International Airport, and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. Its seasonal services include flights to Destin, Jacksonville, Myrtle Beach, New Orleans, Savannah and Tampa Bay.
