    The best bartender in Columbus was already enjoying himself on vacation in Hilton Head when he found out he’d won the title and a $1,000 tip. The party continued when Mike Jenkins made the drive back to Ohio and returned to Char Bar, where he’s bartended for the past nine years.

    Jenkins won the online balloting in Alive’s contest thanks to a network of friends and supporters, many of whom he’s made in his 14 years bartending. He’s shying away from the “best bartender” title, but he’s got stories and suggestions about pouring drinks and polishing off $1,000 cash.
