The wonderful outdoor entertainment that is The Actors’ Theatre opened today in German Village’s Schiller Park. Although it was a rainy opening night. The theatre company, now in its 28th season, started with Ken Ludwig’s The Three Musketeers. “Written by the author of Lend me a Tenor, this adaptation of The Three Musketeers recounts the adventures of a young man named d’Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer with Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—inseparable friends who live by the motto “one for all, all for one.” Plays are free (donations accepted) and start at 8pm. Performances are Thursdays-Sundays. The Three Musketeers runs through June 28. After that, The Tempest and As You Like It will be performed. So take a picnic to the park this weekend and enjoy some great outdoor theater!
