5 Stops for Gallery Hop – November 2012

Welcome to the second-to-last Gallery Hop of 2012! Hard to believe the year has flown by so quickly, but thankfully the weather continues to treat us well for hopping. Looks to be cool and crisp, but at least there’s no sleet or snow planned for tonight. As always, there’s plenty of art galleries to visit, shows to attend, shops to browse and food & drinks to be consumed. Here’s five recommended Gallery Hop tasks to add to your to-do list for tonight:

    1. Stop by Rivet for the Shannon Bonatakis Exhibition

This solo exhibition is from Shannon Bonatakis, a CCAD alum who now lives in Denver. This illustrator has created some unique personal portraiture in her first solo show at Rivet, which she’ll be in attendance for tonight.

    2. Grab something warm from Mission Coffee Co.

The newest coffee shop to open in the Short North is Mission Coffee, located in the garage space behind The Rossi. Stop by for a latte, cappuccino or just a regular cup of joe to help keep you warm during the hop.

    3. Dinner at The Rossi Bar & Kitchen

Speaking of The Rossi, why not grab dinner at this Short North favorite? We recently profiled Executive Chef and General Manager Andrew Smith, the man responsible for the great food at this local establishment.

    4. Explore AESTHETIC

The newest shop to open in the Short North is AESTHETIC, located at 988 North High. This home furnishings store features lighting, accessories, candles, beauty products, furniture and more.

    5. After Party at The White Room

After bouncing around a couple of different Short North locations, the popular monthly QUALITY party has relocated to The White Room above Madrid. So the party is technically Downtown now, but it’s only a hop, skip and a jump south of the hop.

What else are you looking forward to at Gallery Hop tonight?
