It’s technically still the Forth of July weekend, but you might actually be sick of hearing fireworks at this point. Instead, how about some Gallery Hop action tonight? There’s plenty of artwork to see, food to eat and shopping to be done, but as always, we’re picking out five highlights to help get your evening started right.
1. Check out more work from Wallace Peck at Lindsay Gallery
Last month’s solo exhibition by local artist Wallace Peck at The Lindsay Gallery was such a success that it is returning again tonight for round two. New work will be for display and on sale during tonight’s reception from 6pm to 8pm with the artist on hand for a meet and greet.
2. Take in a burlesque/variety show at Short North Stage
The Ooh-La-Las Burlesque dance company is showcasing a military themed show tonight at the historic Short North Stage. Proceeds benefit the USO of Central Ohio and the show also includes music, a raffle and more.
3. Grab a bite at the new PHILCO Bar+Diner
The former Phillip’s Coney Island re-opened last weekend as PHILCO. It’s bound to be busy tonight, but if you can find a seat, it’s worth checking out for the vintage decor and cheap diner-style eats.
4. Treat Yo Self with Some Vodka-Infused Chocolate
Le Chocoholique recently partnered with Middle West Spirits to introduce some locally made vodka-infused chocolate into their lineup of truffles. We sampled both flavors ourselves and can’t decide which one we like better. So try them both!
5. Party it up over on 4th & 4th
Just a short walk east of Gallery Hop, you’ll find an all-day party brewing at the 4th & 4th Festival at Seventh Son. You just can’t go wrong with local bands, local beer and local comedians!
What else are you looking forward to at Gallery Hop tonight?
