Columbus Underground is excited to announce the third annual Urban Living Tour, an event featuring urban living options and opportunities in Downtown Columbus and its surrounding neighborhoods. The Urban Living Tour has grown rapidly over its first two years, with over a thousand participants collectively. It returns this year on Sunday, May 15th from 9am to 5pm. With over a dozen stops featuring various apartment, condo, mixed-use residential buildings, and additional lifestyle stops, this year’s tour continues showcases much of what it means to have an urban lifestyle.

“The Columbus region is rapidly growing, with over 20,000 people per year moving in,” said Walker Evans, co-founder of Columbus Underground. “Our Urban Living Tour events are designed to showcase some of the most unique places to live, regardless of whether you’re new to the city, or looking for a new spot to call home.”

The 2016 edition of the Urban Living Tour will include residential properties in various stages of development. Some are completed and contain fully furnished model units on display. Other stops on the tour are still under construction, and will feature raw, unfinished spaces.

Residential tour stops announced today include The Barrett, 25 Jeffery Park, Homes at Pullman Way, Jeffery Place, Harrison Park, The View on Fifth, Highpoint at Columbus Commons, The Julian, Truberry on Summit, Truberry on Second, LC Riversouth, Connect Realty Micro Living, Condos on North 21st, and a Borror Properties Management virtual showroom. Additional tour stops may be announced prior to the May 15th Tour event.

Lifestyle and restaurant businesses will be additional stops on the tour, offering introductory information, discounts, and specials during the event. Stops announced today include King Business Interiors, North High Furnishings, The University Gateway District, Tri Village Downtown Storage, Juvly Aesthetics, and Re:work Furnishings. Additional lifestyle and restaurant stops may also be announced in the coming weeks.

“We have a great tour lineup this year,” said Anne Evans, co-founder of CU. “Whether you are interested in historical renovation, checking out a micro living project, or getting a new look at some of the properties from the past, there will be something for everyone on this tour.”

Attendees on the Urban Living Tour who check in at multiple locations during the tour and get their map/passport stamped will be eligible to enter to win an Ohio-made Gigi Chair from Norwalk Furnishings, provided by North High Furnishings.

Tickets to the tour are $20 in advance, or $25 day-of at one of the tour’s starting locations. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Faith Mission and their programs to help the homeless and others in need.

“Faith Mission is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and we are happy to continue to support their work in the community,” said Anne.
