Officially, St. Patrick’s Day isn’t until Wednesday, but that’s not stopping a lot of people from celebrating early this year. The regular staple of Irish & Irish-themed Pubs around Columbus are bound to be hopping all weekend long. The lineup includes Brazenhead and Byrne’s near Grandview, Mac’s Cafe in the Short North, O’Shaughnessy’s in the Arena District, Callahan’s on Park Street, Claddagh’s in the Brewery District, Patrick J’s in Clintonville, Fado at Easton, McFadden’s at the South Campus Gateway, Flannagan’s in Dublin and newcomers Cavan Irish Pub located in Merion Village and Michael O’Toole’s Downtown.
Additionally, the city of Dublin will be hosting their annual St. Patty’s Day parade on Saturday at 11am. The city of Columbus will hold their Downtown parade on Wednesday at 10:30am.
No matter how you choose to celebrate, be safe and have fun!

O’ Reilly’s > Patrick J’s anyday, especially St. Pat’s.
Any info on what’s happening at these places for St Pat’s and the weekends? Their sites look the same as everyday.
If Wednesday isn’t enough for you, we’re doing our March Third Thursdays (on March 18th) focused all on Irish music, dance, storytelling, and more. 7 pm at Wild Goose, at 2491 Summit.
I’ll be in Vegas. Anybody know a good pub in Vegas?….on the strip.
jpizzow: Check out Nine Fine Irishmen in New York-New York (south strip). Like most of Vegas it’s pricey but has a cool atmosphere and good drinks/food.
Was there last year for St Paddy’s. Zachgs is right – Nine Fine Irishmen. They also have a parade inside the casino at NY NY and an outside ceremony in the afternoon. Also check out O’sheas next to Imperial Palace. They had an alley blocked off w/ bands etc. and downtown (old Vegas) was packed at night.
I forgot about O’Shea’s. I like it for budget gambling but I’m not sure I want to spend an evening there. Cheap tables though!
